Everything the table needs

One screen. The whole game.

Courtside replaces the paper score sheet with a fast, touch-first interface tuned for landscape tablets and the pace of a live game.

🔀

Two game formats

Score full-court 5v5 or 3x3 streetball — each format brings its own clock, court, scoring and win conditions, chosen first when you set up.

🏀

Court-based scoring

Tap anywhere on the wood-grain court, pick the player, and the basket is recorded — Courtside auto-detects 2pt vs 3pt from the zone you tapped.

📍

Shot markers & shot chart

Every made basket pins the jersey number to the exact spot; optional missed-shot marks build a full shot chart you can review after the game.

Game & period clock

A tick-accurate MM:SS clock with start / pause, period tracking (Quarter 3 of 4), automatic advance, and a one-tap Finish.

⚠️

Fouls done right

Record Personal, Technical, Unsportsmanlike or Disqualifying fouls. Team-foul counters flip to bonus at 4 and reset on period boundaries.

🔁

Substitutions & DQ flow

Swap bench for on-court in two taps. Hit 5 fouls or a DQ and Courtside forces a substitution before play continues — just like the rule book.

🛑

Timeout tracking

Tappable timeout dots per team, decremented automatically and disabled when a team has none left.

📝

Editable game log

A reverse-chronological log with a clock snapshot on every action. Edit a basket, swap a timeout, or delete any entry — the score corrects itself.

📈

Box score & team stats

A full per-player box score (PTS, FG, 2PT, 3PT, FT, PF) plus a team comparison — field-goal %, free-throw %, and points by source: paint, perimeter, free throws.

👥

Saved teams & rosters

Keep a library of teams with colors and rosters. Reuse them with one tap from the home screen, or Rematch straight from a final score.

💾

Never lose a game

The in-progress game auto-saves after every action. Battery dies? Pick up exactly where you left off with Resume scoring.

📊

History & quick stats

Completed games are archived to an on-device database with a 30-day stats strip, recent results, and a full searchable history.

A look inside

From tip-off to final buzzer

Six purpose-built screens carry you through the entire game day.

Home · Courtside Live

Pick up the tablet, see the game.

A broadcast-style home screen puts the next move front and center — start a new game, resume a live one, or jump back into a recent box score.

  • New Game tile straight into setup
  • Live scoreboard — 5v5 or 3x3 — with a pulsing LIVE badge, Resume scoring and Box score
  • Recent games with format badge, final scores and View all
  • My Teams — saved rosters with player counts and Manage rosters
Courtside home screen — a New Game tile, a live 3x3 scoreboard with the LIVE badge, recent 5v5 results and the My Teams strip with saved rosters.
New Game · Choose your format

One app, two games.

Every new game starts by picking a format — and that one choice sets the clock, scoring and court for the whole game.

  • 5 vs 5 · Standard — full-court regulation: four quarters, fouls, timeouts and the shot clock
  • 3x3 · Streetball — single hoop, first to 21, with 1 & 2 point scoring
  • Each format brings its own clock & rule set
  • Switch any time with Change format in setup
Courtside format selection — Choose your format with two large cards: 5 vs 5 Standard (full-court regulation) and 3x3 Streetball (half-court, first to 21 or 10 minutes, 1 and 2 point scoring).
Setup · Format · Rules · Teams

Set up in three steps — your rules.

A guided Format → Rules → Teams wizard gets you to tip-off fast. FIBA defaults are loaded for you, but every rule is yours to change — and defaults pre-fill from your last game, so a rematch is one tap away.

  • Periods & clock — set the number of periods, minutes per period and overtime length
  • Timeouts per team, tuned to your competition
  • Display toggles — shot markers, missed shots, foul counters
  • A live tip-off summary with one-tap Reset to FIBA defaults
Courtside 5v5 game setup — the Rules step of the Format, Rules, Teams wizard: periods, minutes per period, timeouts and overtime length, display toggles, and a tip-off summary with Reset to FIBA defaults.
Setup · 3x3 · Streetball

Streetball, by the rules — or yours.

Pick 3x3 and the Rules step reshapes itself: a target score and a time cap instead of quarters. The FIBA 3x3 preset is one tap away, and every setting is editable for your run.

  • Play to a target (default 21) with a time cap (default 10 min) as backstop
  • 1 & 2 point scoring — inside the arc = 1, beyond = 2
  • Win by 2 in overtime when tied at the cap
  • Load FIBA 3x3 preset, then tweak anything you like
Courtside 3x3 game setup — the Rules step for streetball: play to 21 points with a 10-minute time cap, 1 and 2 point scoring, show missed shots and win by 2 in overtime toggles, and a tip-off summary with Load FIBA 3x3 preset.
Score Sheet · The main event

The court is the controller.

Both teams, the clock, the rosters and a full court live on a single landscape screen — no scrolling, no hunting for the right button.

  • Big tabular scores readable from across the gym
  • Player rails show the on-court line-up plus the bench
  • Tap the court to score, tap a player for a foul or free throw
  • Pause / Next period, a missed-shots toggle, and a full Logs view
Courtside score sheet — both teams' big scores, the period and game clock, a full court with made and missed shot markers, and on-court plus bench player rails.
Game Summary · Final

The final buzzer, settled.

When the game ends, Courtside builds a complete head-to-head report — not just the score, but how it was won.

  • WINNER and FINAL header with the game's format badge
  • Team comparison — field-goal %, 2PT / 3PT made, free-throw %, team fouls
  • Points by source — paint, perimeter and free throws
  • Per-player box score (PTS · FG · 2PT · 3PT · FT · PF), a Shot chart tab and one-tap Rematch
Courtside game summary — a FINAL header with the winner highlighted, team comparison bars for field-goal %, 2PT/3PT and team fouls, a points-by-source breakdown, and per-player box scores with a Shot chart tab.
By the book — or by yours

Knows the rules. Bends to yours.

Courtside doesn't just record numbers — it understands the game and keeps the score sheet legal. It ships with the official FIBA defaults for both formats, and lets you adjust any of them before tip-off.

5

Personal foul-out

A player reaching 5 personal fouls is disqualified, and a replacement is required before play resumes.

D

Disqualifying foul

A disqualifying foul removes a player on the first instance, triggering the same forced-substitution flow.

4

Team bonus

The bonus kicks in at 4 team fouls in a period, with the counter turning red so the table can't miss it.

Period reset

Team fouls reset at every period boundary — quarters, halves or custom periods — exactly per the rule set.

OT

Overtime logic

The game can only end after the final period when scores differ; otherwise overtime is added at your configured length.

Timeouts

Timeouts are tracked per team and the call button disables itself the moment a team runs out.

⚙️

Your game, your rules

The cards above are the FIBA 5-on-5 defaults Courtside loads out of the box. 3x3 uses its own rule set — a target score, a time cap and 1 & 2 point scoring. And whichever format you choose, every rule is editable in the game setup screen — periods, minutes, timeouts, overtime, target score and time cap — so you can match any house or league rules and save them as your new defaults.
