Terms of Use

1. What the App is

Courtside · Basketball is an electronic basketball score sheet and scorekeeping aid for personal and team use. It runs entirely on your device.

2. Not an official record — important disclaimer

The App is an unofficial scoring aid. It is provided for convenience only and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to FIBA or any other basketball federation, league, or governing body.

Where an official paper or electronic score sheet is required by the competition's rules, that official score sheet is the authoritative record in case of any dispute. Scores, fouls, statistics, and other data produced by the App may contain errors and should not be relied upon as an official or definitive result. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial scorekeeping purposes. You may not sell, sublicense, or distribute the App, and you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from it except as permitted by applicable law.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to use the App lawfully and to keep your device and its software up to date. You are responsible for any data you enter (such as team names) and for backing up data that is important to you. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data will permanently delete locally stored games.

5. Your data

All data you enter is stored locally on your device. The App does not collect or transmit personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

6. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or that any data it produces will be accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, loss of records, disputed game results, or other losses arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

8. App stores

Your download and use of the App is also subject to the terms of the app store from which you obtained it (for example, Google Play). Those store terms are between you and the store operator.

9. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The current version's effective date is shown above.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence, including, where applicable, EU consumer law.
