Courtside · Basketball is a digital basketball score sheet. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.
What the App stores
The App stores the following information locally on your device only, so that your settings and games are preserved between sessions:
- Preferences — team names, team colors, and game settings (number of quarters/periods, minutes per period, number of timeouts, and display options). Stored using your device's app preferences.
- In-progress game — a snapshot of the game currently being scored (score, fouls, timeouts, substitutions, and the action log), so a game can be resumed if the App is closed or interrupted. Stored as a file in the App's private storage.
- Game history — completed games and their summaries (period scores and player statistics). Stored in a private database file on your device.
This data is written to the App's private storage area, which is not accessible to other apps. It is not uploaded to us or to any third party.
What the App does NOT do
- It does not require an account or sign-in.
- It does not collect personal information such as your name, email, location, contacts, or device identifiers.
- It does not contain advertising.
- It does not include analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
- It does not send your data over the internet. The App does not request the Android internet permission.
Sending feedback (optional)
The App includes an optional "Send feedback" button. If you use it, the App opens your own email app with a message addressed to courtside.basketball@powerlance.sk. No email is sent automatically — you choose whether to send it, and what to include. If you email us, we will see your email address and whatever you write, and we will use it only to read and respond to your feedback.
Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the App is suitable for general audiences.
Your data and how to delete it
Because all data stays on your device, you are in full control of it. You can delete it at any time by:
- Deleting individual saved games inside the App, or
- Clearing the App's storage/data in your device's Android Settings → Apps → Courtside · Basketball → Storage, or
- Uninstalling the App, which removes all of its locally stored data.
Changes to this policy
If the App changes in a way that affects how data is handled (for example, if cloud sync is added in the future), this policy will be updated and the new effective date shown above. Material changes will be reflected in an App update.
